Lead Backend Engineer - Full-time - LATAM/EMEA

About the role

We’re hiring a Tech Lead to lead backend development and own the delivery of a stable, scalable platform. This is a hands-on role: you’ll design, build, and ship.

This is a long-term role. The ideal candidate would convert to a full-time employee after the initial 8-week delivery period. We are looking for someone who can commit full-time and become a long-term partner.

What you’ll do

• Design and build backend services and APIs for a multi-tenant SaaS
• Own data architecture (PostgreSQL/Supabase), performance, and reliability
• Implement background job processing/queues and integrations with third-party APIs
• Work closely with frontend to deliver smooth end-to-end product flows
• Maintain clear documentation (README, setup, architecture notes)
• Ship consistently with simple progress updates (written + short Loom)

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years in backend or full-stack engineering (lead experience preferred)
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL experience
• Experience building production SaaS systems (auth, permissions, APIs, integrations)
• Comfortable with queues/background processing (e.g., Redis-based patterns)
• Strong communication: clear, structured, reliable delivery

• Supabase experience
• Experience with AI/LLM integrations or automation workflows
• Experience designing multi-tenant systems
• Experience building B2B SaaS products
