Role Overview

Join Moonvalley as an Infrastructure Engineer, where you will be pivotal in building and scaling the systems that power our multi-platform SaaS applications, serving hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. Your technical expertise will ensure seamless, high-quality video streaming and robust infrastructure support across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design & Scale: Architect and build highly scalable infrastructure to support large-scale video streaming, storage, and delivery across web, iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac platforms. Design systems that accommodate exponential user growth and traffic spikes.
• Video Infrastructure: Build and optimize large-scale video processing pipelines, storage systems, and multi-bitrate streaming infrastructure. Implement efficient CDN strategies and global content delivery for superior video experiences.
• Performance & Reliability: Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and observability practices across all platforms. Own system reliability, uptime SLAs, and incident response. Optimize database performance and API latency for real-time interactions.
• Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using modern IaC tools. Create reproducible, versioned infrastructure deployments that enable rapid scaling across regions.
• Multi-Platform Support: Ensure seamless infrastructure support for web, mobile, and desktop applications. Manage APIs, WebSocket connections, and real-time data synchronization across platforms.
• Collaborate: Partner with full stack engineers to understand infrastructure requirements. Establish organizational best practices for deployment, security, and scalability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering experience supporting high-traffic SaaS applications or consumer products.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) with hands-on experience managing production infrastructure at scale.
• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS) and managing distributed systems.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform or Pulumi) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with large-scale video storage, processing, and delivery systems (S3, CloudFront, Cloudflare, etc.).
• Strong understanding of databases at scale (PostgreSQL, Redis, caching strategies) and API infrastructure.
• A systems thinker who can balance performance, cost, and reliability in a fast-scaling, multi-platform environment.
• Experience with load-testing systems and identifying performance bottlenecks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with video streaming protocols and transcoding pipelines (HLS, DASH, FFmpeg).
• Experience with WebRTC, real-time communication infrastructure, or live streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR) and enterprise customer requirements.
• Experience scaling databases and search infrastructure (Elasticsearch, vector databases) for media-rich applications.
