Independent SaaS Architecture & Code Reviewer — Multi-Tenant Platform

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Independent SaaS Architecture & Code Reviewer to conduct a thorough evaluation of a multi-tenant SaaS platform designed for local service businesses. Your expertise will be pivotal in assessing a contractor's technical assessment of our existing prototype and technical specifications to ensure readiness for a production build. This role emphasizes impartiality, with your insights directly influencing the project's next steps.

Responsibilities

• Independently review the contractor's assessment artifacts, including the source code, technical specifications, and proposed architecture.
• Evaluate recommendations related to keep/rebuild/replace/remove decisions, sequencing, estimates, assumptions, and third-party costs.
• Critically examine aspects such as tenant isolation, roles and permissions, configuration-based customization, API and secret handling, and data protection.
• Assess the proposed strategies for testing, staging, deployment, rollback, monitoring, and backup/restore controls.
• Prepare a concise written report categorizing findings into Critical, High, Medium, Low, or Advisory, complete with evidence and business impact analysis.
• Provide a plain-language recommendation on the acceptability of the assessment and participate in a 30-minute call to discuss findings with the founder.

Required Skills

• Extensive senior-level experience in building or reviewing multi-tenant web SaaS platforms, particularly focusing on tenant-scoped authorization and data isolation.
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, serverless architectures, PostgreSQL/RLS, API security, and deployment and monitoring techniques.
• Ability to articulate technical risks in clear, business-oriented language, supported by evidence.
• Willingness to sign an NDA and disclose any affiliations with potential assessment/build contractors.

Nice to Have

• Experience in conducting technical due diligence for SaaS platforms.
• A track record of delivering independent reviews with actionable insights.
