Fullstack Shopify Developer - Part-time - LATAM/APAC

Conversion Dude builds and optimizes e-commerce experiences. We’re tightening our developer bench for quality, consistency, and speed across Shopify projects.

The Role

We’re hiring a reliable Shopify developer to ship polished, on-brand work efficiently. You’ll implement scoped tasks assigned by the founder—no direct client interaction—and leverage AI/ChatGPT to move faster without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine Shopify themes: custom section building, theme edits, app integrations.
• Translate Figma/briefs into pixel-consistent UI (spacing, colors, typography).
• Ship clean, maintainable Liquid/JS/CSS with responsive behavior and basic accessibility.
• Estimate tasks, communicate blockers, and meet efficiency targets (≤ 2.5× founder’s AI-assisted pace).
• Use AI tools thoughtfully for boilerplate, refactors, and test scaffolding—not as a substitute for judgment.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Hands-on Shopify: Liquid, theme architecture, sections, metafields, storefront APIs.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, responsive layout fundamentals.
• Demonstrated AI/ChatGPT proficiency to accelerate coding while maintaining quality.
• High attention to detail (no visual regressions; consistent components/states).
• Clear communication, reliable execution, and comfort working from written task specs.

Nice to Have

• Shopify app integrations, cart/checkout customizations, performance tuning.
• Experience with Tailwind, modern build tooling, basic accessibility checks.
• Familiarity with lightweight QA (visual diffs, device/browser checks).

What Good Looks Like

• Tasks delivered on time, matching design exactly (colors, spacing, states).
• PRs that are small, reviewed, and easy to revert; descriptive commit messages.
• Proactive risk calls and realistic estimates; no “done” without acceptance criteria met.
