Scholarly is an innovative web platform designed to connect vendors and customers through a seamless subscription-based experience. Our application includes microtransactions, multi-role logins, and a paywall feature, all built with a focus on performance and user experience.
We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to bring our pixel-perfect Figma designs to life using a PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express, React, Node.js). This is a great opportunity for a skilled developer to contribute to a well-defined, exciting project with a clear scope and timeline.
Project Scope & Key Responsibilities
Develop a 15-page web application, including:
- 3 user roles (vendor, admin, customer) with defined permissions
- Admin-generated content and vendor-customer messaging
- Customer subscription model with microtransactions (similar to Cameo)
- Paywall after a certain scroll distance
- Implement and optimize a PostgreSQL relational database schema
- Ensure pixel-perfect front-end development based on provided Figma designs
- Develop a secure and scalable backend to support user authentication, payments, and subscriptions
- Integrate payment gateways for subscriptions and microtransactions
- Deploy and maintain the application in a production-ready environment
Technical Requirements
- Strong expertise in PERN Stack (PostgreSQL, Express, React, Node.js)
- Experience implementing user roles & permissions in web applications
- Proficiency in responsive front-end development using modern CSS frameworks
- Hands-on experience with payment integration (Stripe, PayPal, or similar)
- Knowledge of subscription models and microtransactions
- Strong understanding of database design and optimization
- Ability to work with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Figma-to-code implementations
- Background in performance optimization for scalable web apps
- Experience working with international teams and timezone alignment
