Fullstack dev (SMS notification system via web interface) - Part-time - WW

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to integrate an SMS notification system into our web application. This role involves connecting existing code to an API system to enable SMS notifications to users' mobile devices based on user-inputted information. This is a contract position with a focus on creating a seamless and efficient notification system that enhances user engagement and communication.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate and connect our web application with an SMS API to enable notifications.
• Develop functionalities that allow users to input their information and receive SMS updates accordingly.
• Ensure the SMS system is reliable, efficient, and user-friendly.
• Troubleshoot and debug any issues related to the SMS notification system.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure the system aligns with overall application architecture and user experience goals.

Required and Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with server-side languages like Python, PHP, or Node.js.
• Experience working with APIs, particularly related to SMS or communication services.
• Strong understanding of web application security and data privacy best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with popular SMS gateway APIs such as Twilio, Nexmo, or similar services.
• Familiarity with user authentication and data validation techniques.
• Previous experience in developing notification systems or similar communication tools.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
