About CARE

CARE is building a first-of-its-kind wellness platform designed to care for the total human experience—biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. Through a personalized app experience, CARE empowers users with expert-designed assessments, guided exercises, journaling tools, and AI-powered insights to improve overall well-being.

What You’ll Do

As the lead mobile developer, you’ll be responsible for building the MVP version of the CARE App from the ground up. You’ll work directly with the founder, AI advisors, and a UX designer to bring a clean, intuitive, and meaningful experience to life.

Core Responsibilities:

• Architect and build a cross-platform mobile app using React Native (preferred) or Flutter
• Set up authentication (Firebase Auth) and manage user state
• Implement the CARE Weekly Assessment, Journal, Exercises, and Dashboard
• Integrate with the OpenAI GPT-4 API (or similar) for AI-powered journaling and feedback
• Store user data securely using Firestore or another real-time DB
• Build and test RESTful APIs or integrate cloud functions as needed
• Set up basic analytics, error/crash reporting, and performance monitoring
• Collaborate with a freelance designer to implement UI/UX
• Launch internal test builds using Fastlane or Firebase App Distribution

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

• Are a full-stack mobile developer who’s built and shipped at least one full app (React Native, Flutter, or Swift/Kotlin + backend)
• Can work across frontend, backend, and lightweight DevOps
• Have experience integrating Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics)
• Have used OpenAI or similar APIs to build conversational or AI-based tools
• Understand how to build secure, scalable, and privacy-conscious apps
• Are self-directed, highly communicative, and comfortable owning full features

Bonus: Have worked on wellness, mental health, or journaling apps
