Full Stack Internal Tools Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Internal Tools Engineer to join our Data & Tools team on a flexible contract basis. You will drive the transformation of our internal systems, building fast, reliable web-based tools that power our content production and data operations.

At the heart of Sing King is our CMS, responsible for orders, data validation, third-party reporting, and distribution. You will help us transition from a BigQuery + Retool frontend to an API built in Python (FastAPI with PostgreSQL) and develop a new bespoke CMS web-app frontend in React.

What You Will Build

• Lead the CMS architecture: scope, plan and deliver improvements to our content management system in collaboration with the Head of Data & Tools.
• Maintain and extend our internal REST API (Python/FastAPI) that centralises business logic for content management, asset handling, data validation, and publishing.
• Build the new CMS frontend in React, delivering a fast, intuitive experience built around how people actually work.
• Design automation workflows that remove manual toil: thumbnail generation, media transcoding, uploading, scheduling, playlist generation, web scraping.
• Build internal operational tooling (Slack/Discord bots, dashboards, alerts) that keep the team informed.
• Prototype and develop lightweight web apps for fans (song requests, user-generated content).
• Collaborate with data analysts to turn models and research into internal tools.
