Role Overview
We’re PrimeComply, an early-stage (pre-seed) RegTech startup building an MVP to simplify regulatory compliance tracking for financial institutions. The initial product is a SaaS web platform using Next.js (frontend) and NestJS (backend).
We’re looking for a senior full-stack developer who thinks like a tech lead—someone who can not only build, but also make system design recommendations, set architectural patterns, and guide the technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable features using Next.js + NestJS
- Manage repository and CI/CD (we use GitHub and Actions)
- Handle storage (S3), authentication (Auth0), and database (Prisma + Neon)
- Create modular, testable systems with clear documentation
- Act as a solo tech owner for the MVP, with autonomy and ownership
- Provide weekly demos and work closely with the founder (non-technical background, legal/FinTech domain expert)

- Frontend: Next.js, Tailwind, TypeScript
- Backend: NestJS, Prisma, Neon DB
- Infra: GitHub Actions, Docker (light usage), S3, Auth0, pnpm
- Testing: Vitest, Playwright (future)
- DevTools: Roo Code, Yaak, Snyk, Sonarqube, Cypress
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years full-stack experience with Next.js + NestJS
- Experience acting as tech lead or solo dev in early-stage startups
- Strong communication skills—can explain tradeoffs clearly
- Ability to make architecture decisions, not just follow tickets
- Writes clean, tested, modular TypeScript code
Logistics
- Project Scope: 6–8 weeks MVP, can extend If successful
- Time: ~20–30 hrs/week
- Rate: Competitive based on experience
- Timezone: Flexible, but founder is based in Dubai (GMT+4)
