We are a healthcare technology startup founded in 2024, focused on empowering physical therapists by automating insurance verification processes. Our mission is to simplify administrative tasks so healthcare providers can focus on what they do best—caring for their patients. As a non-technical founding team, we are seeking a skilled engineer to bring our vision to life and lay the technical groundwork for our product.

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Full-Stack Developer to join us as our first technical hire and lead the development of our MVP. In this role, you will take full ownership of the technical build, focusing on both backend and frontend development, while providing guidance on technical decisions to a non-technical founding team.
This is a short-term, part-time engagement requiring approximately 20 hours per week over 2-4 weeks. We are open to global talent, with a preference for candidates who can overlap with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Required Skills

• Full-stack development experience with React frontend, web backend (e.g. Node), and database (e.g. Postgres)
• Infrastructure expertise with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• API integration proficiency for seamless interaction with third-party systems.
• Web development proficiency for web app
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• 3-5 years of software engineering experience, ideally in early-stage startup environments.

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools.
• Experience making and communicating key infrastructure decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior exposure to healthcare industry workflows and understanding of HIPAA compliance
