Full Stack Developer (Laravel + Vue.js) - Perm - LATAM

About the Role

We're seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a legacy enterprise modernization project in the trucking industry. You'll be working on a large-scale, mission-critical system that handles accounting and operations for a multinational company. This role requires someone comfortable navigating complex legacy codebases while implementing modern development practices.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain and enhance existing enterprise applications built with Laravel and Vue.js
• Debug and refactor legacy code (including some challenging spaghetti code scenarios)
• Build new features as part of an agile development process
• Work with SQL Server databases
• Ensure system stability while implementing improvements to a production environment
• Collaborate with a distributed team across multiple time zones

Required Technical Skills

• Backend: Strong Laravel experience (PHP)
• Frontend: Vue.js and Blade templating
• Database: SQL Server
• Experience level: Senior-level developer comfortable with full stack responsibilities

Must-Have Experience

• Enterprise-scale systems: You've worked on large, complex applications (not just startups or greenfield projects)
• Legacy code expertise: Comfortable working with older codebases and refactoring without breaking existing functionality
• Backend-heavy focus: While full stack, the role leans more toward backend work (~60-70%)

Nice to Have

• Experience with .NET or PowerBuilder
• Background in accounting or operations systems
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience
