Wilson Bittencourt, Recruiter At LUCAN we're building a first-mover employee care platform that leverages machine intelligence to transform “employee perks” into personalized, high-impact cost savings for employees and families, deliver workforce insights for employers, and connect consumer brands with tomorrow’s customers. In other words, AI/ML meets HRtech meets Adtech.
I'm currently looking for a full-stack developer to help with the below who is strong in both backend systems integration and AI/ML, and also has experience in either ecommerce or B2B SaaS.
LUCAN's NoCode product is mostly live and operational w/o any integration (Bubble.io, Xano, Zapier, etc.) and has over 200 discount perks from the likes of Apple, Samsung, Hims/Hers, Talkspace, Hulu, Sephora, Hungryroot, Sonos.
I have four primary requests:
- I'd like to build Category Filter Buttons so users can filter by Home, Fashion, Health, etc., as well as a Public "Preview" instance of the front-end for prospective B2B buyers.
- I'd like to add an AI agent/Chatbot that can interpret employees' unique, real-life prompts ("I'm stressed at work," "I need to get my 10-year-old nephew a birthday gift," "I need more details about my vision benefits," and "I just found out my wife is pregnant") and return the most relevant offers we have available on the website.
- I'd like to look at building a web scraping / user simulation tool in order to pass email address inputs from our website to the respective merchant's website.
- Considering the above three requests, I'd also like some assistance considering whether to migrate to an actual coded product (which will have to happen eventually) or keeping it on Bubble.io for now.
Desired Technical Skills:
- Backend Engineering (Python, Node.js): Given your goals of transitioning from a NoCode environment, a developer who is strong in backend development and API integration will be key for automating email subscriptions and integrating with HRtech tools like Gusto, Lattice, Rippling, and Netchex.
- Web Scraping and Automation Expertise: Experience with tools like Puppeteer, Selenium, or Playwright is ideal for developing a backend solution to automate email submissions, allowing your platform to interact seamlessly with brand websites.
- AI & Natural Language Processing (NLP): For building the GenAI chatbot, look for experience with NLP models (e.g., OpenAI, Google’s Dialogflow) and frameworks for creating and fine-tuning language models. A background in prompt engineering and experience with APIs for LLMs will enable the personalization capabilities you envision.
- Frontend Development (React, Vue): To handle dynamic user interfaces where the AI agent can guide users, a front-end skill set is also essential. The developer should know how to build interactive UI/UX features that align with your personalized offer display.
- Data Engineering and Privacy Compliance: Since you’ll handle sensitive employee data, this role should also be comfortable with data flow management and privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA). Experience with data handling and encryption standards for security and compliance is critical.
Preferred Experience:
- Ecommerce Integration: Background in ecommerce ecosystems or SaaS integrations could be a major plus. Experience with platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, or similar ecommerce APIs could help them understand the brand offers angle and help streamline partnerships.
- HRtech Experience or B2B SaaS Integration: Familiarity with the HRtech ecosystem is ideal since they’d understand the common data flows and compliance requirements with platforms like Gusto and Rippling. This could ease the integration process.
