Full-stack / AI Engineer – Clinical Reasoning Systems WW-FT

Role Overview

Join Healthelic as a Full-Stack/AI Engineer and be a pivotal force in developing our platform's reasoning and intelligence layer. You will manage the entire technical stack, architecting systems to process millions of clinical events daily. Your contributions will significantly enhance physician workflows and patient outcomes through LLM-driven clinical decision support.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement structured LLM output pipelines for clinical reasoning, such as differential diagnoses and lab summaries.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems with evidence weighting for accurate insights.
• Architect scalable governance layers and reasoning pipelines to ensure robust AI functionality.
• Develop multi-modal ingestion pipelines for lab reports, imaging findings, and clinical notes.
• Create real-time communication features powered by LLMs, including voice and streaming capabilities.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and compliance-ready infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with full-stack, QA, and product teams to deliver reliable AI features.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and C#.
• Experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Node.js, Next.js, Blazor, and React.
• Strong background in AI/ML technologies including PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, and usage of OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
• Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as Azure, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Competence in data pipeline management using Kafka and Airflow.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Understanding of compliance and security, including role-based access control and HIPAA frameworks.
