Frontend Engineer + Product Designer

Maestrotech Inc is building an agentic OS for mortgage origination, transforming how loans are structured, priced, submitted, and cleared across TPO portals with mortgage specific AI tools and agents.

We are hiring a founding Frontend Engineer and Product Designer in one person to own the end to end UX, UI, and frontend implementation of our agentic mortgage origination platform. You will design modern enterprise interfaces and ship high quality, production ready Next.js code, working side by side with the AI and backend teams.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement end to end UX flows for mortgage origination including pricing, structuring, submission, and conditions clearing across TPO portals
• Use AI powered tools such as Stitch, Antigravity with Nano Banana Pro, and generative models to create flows, layouts, and visual assets
• Import and normalize AI generated designs into Figma as a canonical design system with reusable components, variants, and design tokens
• Build and maintain modern Next.js frontend deployed on Vercel or AWS using React Server Components, App Router, and best practices for performance and accessibility
• Create a robust component library using Tailwind CSS wired directly to Figma design tokens so every generated piece of code stays consistent
• Set up Figma Dev Mode MCP server and connect it to Antigravity or VS Code so code generation LLMs emit Next.js components grounded in your design system
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate agentic workflows into the UI including task orchestration, status visualization, and exception handling
• Work with backend and product teams to design API contracts, mock data, and simulation environments so flows are testable before backends ship
• Establish frontend engineering standards, code quality, testing, and observability for an enterprise grade, multi tenant SaaS product

How We Work: AI Augmented Product Flow

• Use AI tools to prototype screen flows and interactions for loan officers, processors, and operations teams
  Import and refine AI generated designs in Figma as components and design tokens
• Connect Figma MCP to your IDE so code generation follows your design system instead of free styling
• Connect components to mock APIs and simulation data for end to end testable flows Iterate quickly with users on UX, copy, and information architecture using real world mortgage workflows

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience building modern React and Next.js applications with deep understanding of component design, state management, and performance
• Demonstrated frontend design skills: own visual design, UX, and interaction details without a separate design team
• Hands on experience with Tailwind CSS, CSS in JS, or utility first styling systems and comfort with design tokens and component libraries
• Practical experience with Figma including components, variants, and Dev Mode with curiosity about AI assisted design and MCP integrations
• Comfort using AI tools for both design and engineering with judgment to know when to rely on AI output versus crafting manually
• Strong product sense and empathy for users in complex workflows, ideally with fintech, lending, or regulated domain experience
• Ability to work in a fast moving startup environment, take ownership, and move from concept to shipped features quickly

Nice To Have

• Experience with design systems at scale including tokens, theming, and multi brand requirements
• Experience building workflow tools, dashboards, and operational platforms for complex business processes
• Exposure to agentic workflows, orchestration, or AI driven UX patterns Familiarity with mortgage origination, loan processing, or commercial real estate workflows
