About the Role

A Dubai-based studio builds websites for small and medium-sized merchants - barbershops, nail salons, restaurants, and similar local businesses. The sites are functionally simple but need to look sharp. We're hiring a frontend developer with strong visual design instincts who can move fast, ideally using AI tools to accelerate build time without sacrificing polish.

What You'll Do

• Build clean, visually compelling websites for local merchant clients
• Take a brief or reference and translate it into a well-designed, on-brand site
• Use AI-assisted tools/workflows to speed up development without cutting corners on quality
• Work across a flexible stack - React, Next.js, Svelte, Tailwind, or plain CSS - choosing what's fastest and most appropriate per project
• Handle multiple small projects concurrently on a part-time basis

What We're Looking For

• Strong eye for design - layout, typography, color, spacing - not just functional code
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, v0, Claude, etc.) as part of a fast production workflow
• Solid frontend fundamentals (HTML/CSS/JS) with working knowledge of at least one modern framework (React, Next.js, or Svelte)
• Tailwind experience preferred, gsap, motion.dev experience preferred.
• Portfolio showing sites that are simple in scope but well-designed
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight on straightforward projects

Nice to Have

• Prior experience building for small/local business clients (hospitality, retail, personal care)
• Comfortable turning around fast client revisions
