About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front-End Developer to join our team for a 4-week contract to build the new front end for our e-commerce shop. You will be responsible for translating existing Figma designs into a high-performance, user-friendly, and responsive web application. You will work closely with our existing backend, leveraging a well-defined REST API to deliver a seamless and dynamic shopping experience.
This is ideal for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about crafting exceptional user interfaces.

**Responsibilities
**● Develop a new, high-performance front-end for our e-commerce shop from provided Figma designs.
● Integrate with an existing backend REST API to fetch and display product data, manage user accounts, handle shopping carts, and process orders.
● Ensure the front-end application is responsive and performs well across different devices and browsers.
● Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
● Implement best practices for front-end development, including code optimization, accessibility, and security.
● Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient development process. ● Conduct thorough testing to ensure the application is bug-free and meets all requirements.
● Deliver the completed front-end within the 4-week timeframe.

Qualifications
● Extensive experience in front-end development, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
● Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
● Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks. While Astro.js is preferred, we are open to alternatives like Next.js, Remix, or SvelteKit if they offer equivalent or better performance. Please justify your framework choice.
● Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating front-end applications with backend services.
● Experience working with Figma or similar design tools.
● Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
● Knowledge of web accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
● Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
● Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. ● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
