Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Freelance WordPress Developer to collaborate with our Marketing team. Your role will involve maintaining and enhancing our WordPress site, forum, and optimizing our SEO setup. If you are proficient in WordPress, adept at tweaking PHP, and knowledgeable in technical SEO, we would love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continually improve our WordPress marketing site and forum to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Restructure pages and sections according to a detailed backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Implement designs from Figma into responsive and optimized web pages, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
• Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, including crawl errors, meta issues, and indexing challenges, to enhance site visibility and search engine ranking.
• Utilize Yoast SEO and related tools/plugins to monitor and improve site health effectively.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing and Product teams to coordinate on launches and ongoing improvements, ensuring seamless integration and communication.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in WordPress development and customization.
• Strong ability to work with PHP for site enhancements.
• Experience with technical SEO, including resolving crawl errors and optimizing meta data.
• Familiarity with Yoast SEO and related SEO tools and plugins.

Nice to Have

• Experience in implementing designs from Figma into WordPress.
• Knowledge of responsive web design principles and techniques.
• Previous experience working in a remote setting with cross-functional teams.
