Founding Full-Stack Engineer (AI Ambient Agent, Python + Electron)

Join us to build Sentient—the world’s first always-on, proactive AI companion that learns from users and acts without prompts. We’re crafting an intelligent agent that watches context across devices and helps users in real time, without needing to be asked.

You'll lead development of our MVP—from ingestion pipelines to the local desktop interface. You’ll work across the stack (Python backend, Electron frontend) to deliver a lean, performant, and private-first product.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement the backend in Python (FastAPI or similar)
• Build an Electron-based tray app UI with a minimal Inbox and Smart Briefs
• Design and integrate data pipelines from email, calendar, files, and browser
• Implement and connect memory graph + LLM agent workflows
• Collaborate closely on product direction and early UX
• Handle local-first data storage (SQLite, vector DBs like Chroma)

Required Skills:

• Python (FastAPI, Langchain, asyncio)
• JavaScript/TypeScript (Electron)
• Familiarity with local-first architectures
• Experience with event-driven systems or agents
• Bonus: LLM orchestration (LangGraph, OpenAI API, Ollama)
