Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to bring a specialized website to life by completing its technical implementation and launching it. The website, which is in its final stages of development, aims to offer interactive features and requires a developer to integrate pre-developed elements and optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Plugin Integration & Optimization: Integrate and optimize four custom interactive plugins, configure real-time data saving, manage user sessions, and enable data persistence. Implement save/load functionality for returning users and add PDF export capabilities.
- API Integrations: Connect and configure various third-party APIs, including location/mapping services, data calculation endpoints, and weather services. Ensure secure management of API keys.
- User Management System: Develop a user-friendly registration and login workflow, manage user preferences and data, capture emails strategically, handle basic subscription and tier management, and create a user dashboard for saved content.
- Content Implementation: Convert provided HTML prototypes into professional WordPress pages, upload and format 40 content pages, maintain design consistency, set up URL structures and navigation, configure SEO settings, and implement an internal linking strategy.
- Performance & Technical Requirements: Ensure page load times are under 3 seconds, maintain mobile responsiveness, support high user concurrency, implement caching strategies, and enable basic PWA functionality.
- Analytics & Tracking: Set up user behavior and conversion tracking, implement event tracking for interactive features, and create an admin dashboard for metrics.
- Payment Processing: Configure WooCommerce, set up Stripe payment gateway, implement subscription plans, and gate premium features.
Required Skills
- Advanced custom development in WordPress.
- Proficiency in PHP/MySQL for database management and custom queries.
- Expertise in JavaScript for AJAX and real-time features.
- Experience with RESTful API integration and authentication.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization, including caching and CDN use.
- Knowledge of security practices for data protection and GDPR compliance.
Nice to Have
- Experience with WordPress migrations from staging to production environments.
- Familiarity with Progressive Web Apps.
