ElectronJS Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ElectronJS Developer to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our ElectronJS application. This app is designed to capture screenshots and active window data, uploading this information to an API every minute for AI-driven user behavior analysis.

Responsibilities

• Improve session management by ensuring the robustness of the access/refresh token pattern to prevent unexpected user disconnections.
• Optimize the application's energy consumption to minimize its footprint on user devices.
• Streamline the onboarding permission flow for Mac, ensuring smooth enabling of Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions.
• Address UI discrepancies where the app indicates data recording without successful uploads, potentially linked to session management issues.
• Enhance the handling of network interruptions by ensuring captured data is uploaded after connectivity is restored, with proper local data management.
• Expand error logging capabilities using Sentry and Posthog, with a focus on achieving comprehensive coverage across processes.
• Investigate and resolve crash reports identified by Sentry.
• Implement seamless app startup on login for both Mac and Windows platforms.
• Address any additional issues that arise during the resolution of the above tasks.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with ElectronJS development.
• Proficient in session management and API integration.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with error logging tools such as Sentry and Posthog.
• Familiarity with cross-platform development for Mac and Windows.

• Experience with AI-driven data analysis applications.
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices for seamless user onboarding.
