DevOps Engineer - PT Freelance - Worldwide

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Part-Time DevOps Engineer to join our team remotely. Your primary focus will be deploying and maintaining micro-apps built on platforms like Replit, Lovable, and Claude Code. This role is pivotal in ensuring our applications run smoothly and efficiently, optimizing both performance and cost.

Responsibilities

• Manage the deployment process, ensuring repository hygiene and effective CI/CD pipelines for several small applications.
• Oversee GitHub management, including branching strategies, pull request reviews, protection rules, and release tagging.
• Maintain AWS backends, focusing on RDS Postgres administration, Cognito services, basic networking, and IAM configurations.
• Monitor application performance, debug issues, and optimize runtime efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain light glue code, infrastructure scripts, and runbooks to support deployment and operational activities.

Required Skills

• Proficient in Git and GitHub, with strong experience in code review processes.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically in managing RDS Postgres, Cognito, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
• Comfortable with Infrastructure-as-Code practices and managing secrets securely.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Bedrock, RAG patterns, vector databases, and LLM API integration.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures such as Lambda and API Gateway, as well as Docker and basic VPC configurations.
