Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, triage, and tune all production, pre-production, and non-production environments, including setting up and managing advanced monitoring dashboards (e.g., Grafana) and implementing configurable dynamic log-levels.
- Design, implement, and evolve core infrastructure for scalability and resilience, driving architecture improvements, setting up failover environments, managing environment variables & secrets securely, and ensuring robust database operations through RDS Multi-AZ deployments, read replicas, and comprehensive audit logging.
- Strengthen our security posture by implementing, configuring, and managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions, including AWS Shield and CloudFront integration.
- Automate and optimize the deployment and orchestration of services, including iOS, Android, and backend build automation for Test, Pre-Prod, and Prod environments, along with their specific configurations.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to create and manage feature-branch-based isolated, short-lived test environments, strategically utilizing AWS Fargate and Kubernetes for production.
- Define, implement, and enforce CI/CD best practices and robust version control strategies, including defining clear workflows for branch transitions.
- Integrate and manage automated quality and security gates within the CI/CD pipeline, such as automated vulnerability checks, automated dependency upgrades, automated linters (e.g., Sonarqube integration), and configuring Slack notifications for critical build and deployment events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
