Client is an early-stage cybersecurity startup building AEGIS, a security and endpoint protection product for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. The first release covers system cleaning, junk removal, browser ad-blocking and email protection. Real-time threat protection will follow in later updates. AEGIS launches on the Microsoft Store first, with the other platforms following.
The Role
The Figma designs are finished, and the Java Spring Boot backend (microservices and APIs) is built. You'll take features from design to installable app. That means building the UI, integrating the APIs, and shipping signed builds for every platform. You'll work directly with the founding team and own the front end end-to-end during a tight launch window.
What You'll Do
- Build cross-platform desktop and mobile apps from existing Figma designs, with pixel-accurate UI
- Integrate REST APIs and real-time data: scan status, alerts, dashboards
- Package, sign and release builds for Windows (.exe/.msi, Microsoft Store), macOS (.dmg), Android (.apk) and iOS
- Deliver against a daily task tracker and push work to GitHub
- Work with the backend team to resolve integration issues and hit launch milestones
Must-Have
- 3+ years of front-end development experience
- Strong React and React Native, with shipped production apps
- Desktop app experience with Tauri or Electron
- REST API integration experience, ideally against a Java/Spring Boot backend
- A track record of shipping complete apps: installers, APKs and IPAs, including code signing and store submission
Nice-to-Have
- Flutter
- Rust (for Tauri's native layer)
- Experience building security, utility or system-level apps
- Early-stage startup or MVP launch experience
