- MERQUAN is hiring its first commercial CEO to run the company while the founder retains the role of Chief Architect, owning product vision and technical strategy. The CEO will report to the board and be responsible for fundraising, commercial execution, hiring, and operational scale. The founder remains the public face of the technology and the institutional partnerships.
Must-have qualifications
Ten to fifteen years of operating experience at senior level inside a quantitative finance, institutional fintech, or capital markets technology business. Prior CEO or COO experience at a Series A through Series C company is preferred. Direct experience selling into hedge funds, prop trading firms, broker-dealers, or institutional asset managers is essential. Track record of closing institutional contracts at six-figure annual values, ideally seven-figure. Has personally led at least one venture capital or strategic financing round of fifteen million dollars or more. Strong fluency in the language of quantitative finance — alpha generation, Sharpe ratios, factor models, market microstructure, risk management, regulatory frameworks.
