Backend Web Developer - PT/FT - LATAM/NA/Europe

Role Overview

Join us in building Mana, a cutting-edge global payments platform tailored for remitters and immigrant communities. Our mission is to revolutionize cross-border transactions with instant transfers, competitive exchange rates, and transparent fee structures, eliminating the hidden costs and delays of traditional services. Our team consists of industry veterans from Coinbase, Pantera, and Lava, and we're supported by top investors like General Catalyst and Lux Capital. We are seeking a skilled Backend Web Developer to design, build, and scale the payment infrastructure that powers Mana.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs using languages such as Go, Node, and Python.
• Build and optimize payment processing flows, including ACH, cards, stablecoins, and PSP integrations.
• Work with databases and ledgering systems such as Postgres, TigerBeetle, and DynamoDB.
• Integrate third-party APIs like Plaid, Zero Hash, Bitso, and various card processors into Mana’s technology stack.
• Collaborate with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver production-grade features.
• Implement best practices in observability, testing, and security, leveraging tools like AWS, ECS, Lambda, and VPC.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in backend development and API design.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.

• Experience with payments, money movement, or financial APIs.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, early-stage environments.
