Back End Developer (React, Prisma, Postgresql, express) - FT - NA, LATAM, Europe

About the Company

This fast-growing, US-based company is transforming the live event experience for educational dance programs. Their innovative B2B registration and management platform empowers local dance studios to streamline the registration of 100–200+ students across multiple routines. With features like studio registration, participant management, a judges portal, scoring system, and integrated photo/video sales, the platform is central to the company’s operations. The MVP is partially live, with core features targeted for completion in the coming weeks.

About the Role

The team is seeking a mid-to-senior level back-end developer to help complete and scale the core product. You’ll work closely with an overextended lead developer, a junior dev, and part-time offshore contributors. Your focus will be on completing the platform’s back-end functionality using a modern JavaScript/TypeScript stack. Ideally, you’re also comfortable jumping into full-stack tasks when needed.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful technical challenges in a live production environment. The right candidate will be a self-motivated problem-solver who thrives in startup-like environments and can operate independently while collaborating effectively with a small, agile team.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience with back-end development in modern JavaScript/TypeScript environments
• Strong proficiency with Express, Prisma, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with React and REST APIs
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling and performance optimization
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Able to self-direct and manage tasks independently
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate during EST hours

Nice to Have Skills

• Full-stack capabilities, especially with React
• Experience working with early-stage or MVP-stage products
• Familiarity with authentication systems, scoring logic, or media sales tools
• Previous work on B2B platforms or event registration systems

• This role is best suited for candidates who can adapt to a US Eastern Time (EST) schedule for meetings and collaboration.
