We are an ActiveCampaign partner and reseller delivering custom marketing automation solutions to clients. Our core need is building custom integrations between ActiveCampaign and various third-party platforms using APIs.
Our first upcoming integration involves connecting ActiveCampaign with a niche European ticketing platform in the theme park industry. This will serve as the foundation for future similar API integration projects.
Project Overview
We are seeking a developer with strong API integration experience to:
Phase 1 – Feasibility & Technical Scoping
- Review the ticketing platform’s API documentation
- Analyze integration feasibility with ActiveCampaign’s API
- Map data flows (contacts, transactions, tags, events, etc.)
- Provide technical recommendations and scope estimate
- Identify potential limitations or risks
Phase 2 – Full Integration Development
- Build a custom integration between the ticketing platform and ActiveCampaign
- Connect relevant endpoints
- Implement secure authentication
- Handle data mapping and transformation
- Build error handling and logging
- Ensure reliable synchronization between systems
- This is not a Zapier-level integration — this is a custom API-to-API build.
Required Skills
- Strong experience working with REST APIs
- Proven experience building API-to-API integrations
- Ability to read and quickly understand unfamiliar API documentation
- Experience handling authentication methods (API keys, OAuth, etc.)
- Strong backend development skills (Node.js, PHP, Python, or similar)
- Solid debugging and error-handling capabilities
Preferred (But Not Mandatory)
- Direct experience working with the ActiveCampaign API
- Experience integrating marketing automation platforms
- Familiarity with webhook-based architectures
- Experience handling customer/transaction data synchronization
What We’re Looking For
- Someone technically strong and independent
- Comfortable working without heavy supervision
- Able to respond within 24 hours
- Project-based availability (not full-time at this stage)
- Interested in building a longer-term relationship
Beyond this initial integration, we anticipate recurring needs to:
- Connect ActiveCampaign to other niche platforms
- Develop additional custom integrations
- Expand automation capabilities for clients
- This role has strong potential for continued collaboration if successful.
