Android Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to maintain and enhance our visitor check-in app, utilized on Elo Android kiosks at healthcare facilities. Your work will play a crucial role in improving user experience and operational efficiency in healthcare environments.

About the App:

• Runs on Elo Android touchscreens in kiosk mode
• Visitors enter their phone number to check in
  If recognized → auto check-in
  If not → prompted to enter First/Last Name, optional Email, and who they're visiting
• Check-out is done via phone number
• 10 minutes later, an SMS and Email is triggered requesting a review

Backend:

• Built with Node.js + React
• Tracks check-in/check-out logs
• Sends automated review messages

We Need Help With:

• Debugging frequent freezing/crashing issues on Elo devices
• Reviewing the Android codebase for memory leaks or poor lifecycle handling
• Improving kiosk mode stability
• Diagnosing issues in the backend communication
• Ensuring proper logging and performance

Required Skills

• Proven experience in Android app development with a strong understanding of Android SDK.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with Android UI design principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Android kiosks or similar hardware.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and its software requirements.
