We are building AI-powered visual quality inspection systems for manufacturing, designed to replace or enhance traditional manual inspection and rule-based AOI systems.
This role focuses on deploying computer vision and AI models into real production environments to solve complex, subjective, and highly variable quality problems.
We are looking for an engineering-oriented AI Visual Quality Inspection Engineer who can own the full workflow—from data collection and model training to system deployment.
You will work directly with the CEO, AI team, and on-site customer engineering teams to turn AI vision capabilities into stable, production-ready, and scalable industrial solutions.
• Design and implement AI-based visual quality inspection solutions (e.g. surface defects, cosmetic defects, welding, contamination, foreign objects)
• Design and optimize image acquisition setups (cameras, lenses, lighting, triggering methods)
• Lead data collection, sample selection, labeling rule definition, and data quality control
• Train, test, and optimize computer vision models (primarily CNN / deep learning models)
• Integrate AI models into real inspection systems (edge devices or servers)
• Collaborate with automation, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure stable operation on production lines
• Analyze false positives / false negatives and continuously improve system performance
• Prepare technical documentation to support system delivery and maintenance
• Hands-on experience in computer vision or machine vision projects
• Strong understanding of CNNs and deep learning for image classification, detection, or segmentation
• Proficiency in Python (PyTorch / TensorFlow / OpenCV, etc.)
• Understanding of industrial vision system components (cameras, lighting, optics, triggers, PLC interfaces)
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to improve model performance through analysis
• Ability to debug and solve problems directly on manufacturing floors
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, project-driven, execution-focused environments
• Experience deploying industrial AOI or visual inspection systems
• Familiarity with defect detection, anomaly detection, or few-shot learning
• Industry experience in plastics, PCBA, metal, coating, or welding
• Exposure to automation lines, robotics, or industrial control systems
• Experience working in early-stage or engineering-driven teams
