AI Research Scientist - Big Tech & Frontier Lab Experience

Role Overview

We are seeking exceptional AI Research Scientists, Applied Scientists, or Senior AI/ML Experts with extensive experience in advanced AI systems. This role goes beyond standard AI engineering, requiring expertise in areas such as reinforcement learning, agentic systems, multimodal AI, real-time inference, data ingestion, RAG, fine-tuning, and AI-ready data structuring.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype advanced AI systems, including agents, reinforcement learning, multimodal AI, RAG, fine-tuning, and inference.
• Structure internal and external data for effective use by models, agents, and retrieval systems.
• Build or advise on feedback loops, evaluation methods, and model improvement workflows.
• Support real-time AI interaction systems involving text, audio, video, or other modalities.
• Define technical architecture and implementation approaches for multiple AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior AI, ML, data, and product stakeholders to drive project success.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in AI/ML research, applied AI, or advanced ML engineering.
• Deep knowledge in one or more of the following: reinforcement learning, agents, multimodal AI, speech, computer vision, RAG, fine-tuning, inference, or MLOps.
• Proven experience in building, researching, or deploying complex AI systems beyond basic LLM or API integrations.
• Ability to structure messy or proprietary data for AI use cases.
• Strong technical judgment with the ability to clearly explain architecture, trade-offs, and implementation plans.
• PhD, Master’s, or equivalent research-level experience preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience in real-time AI interaction systems across various modalities.
• Ability to reason from first principles and work through ambiguity to identify optimal technical solutions.
