The Role

We're seeking a Senior AI-Native Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of software powering healthcare workflow automation.

This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys owning features from concept to deployment, and actively uses AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms to accelerate development.

You'll work across the full stack, building scalable backend services, intuitive user-facing applications, and cloud-native infrastructure while helping shape engineering best practices in an AI-first development environment.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Django, React, and modern web technologies.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework.
Build scalable backend services and data models supporting healthcare workflow automation.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering stakeholders to rapidly deliver new features.
Optimize application performance, database queries, and system reliability.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation while maintaining high code quality.
Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code through critical thinking and engineering best practices.
Contribute to cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows in AWS.
Write automated tests and ensure production-grade reliability and maintainability.
Take ownership of projects from architecture through deployment.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

3–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong experience building production applications with Python and Django.
Experience developing REST APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
Strong frontend development experience with React and JavaScript.
Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
Experience working with AWS cloud services.
Strong understanding of software architecture, debugging, testing, and code quality practices.
Ability to work independently and own features end-to-end.
Experience working in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments.
Availability to overlap with Pacific Time working hours.
AI-Native Development Experience

We're specifically looking for engineers who actively leverage AI coding tools in their daily workflow.

Ideal candidates will have experience using tools such as:

Cursor
Claude Code
GitHub Copilot
Windsurf
Other AI-assisted software development platforms

You should be comfortable prompting AI effectively, validating generated solutions, debugging AI-generated code, and using AI as a force multiplier rather than a replacement for engineering judgment.

Nice to Have
Healthcare technology experience.
Revenue cycle management (RCM), medical billing, EHR, or EMR exposure.
PostgreSQL experience.
MongoDB experience.
Experience scaling products in high-growth startup environments.
Familiarity with workflow automation and AI-powered business applications.
