AI/ML Engineer (Construction Tech Automation) - Part-time - EMEA

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Computer Vision, OCR, and Python to develop a prototype for extracting measurements from construction drawings. The goal is to build a working demo that can showcase the solution’s capabilities to potential clients.

We have already validated a proof of concept and are now in the prototype phase. Previous development attempts were unsuccessful, so we’re seeking experienced and reliable talent for this critical stage. As the project scales, we envision a long-term technical partnership.

Tasks and Deliverables

• Automate measurement extraction from PDF and CAD drawings.
• Develop a working prototype for client presentations.
• Implement OCR, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning techniques for data extraction.
• Export structured data into CSV, Excel, or JSON formats.
• Generate digital plans based on extracted data.
• Python-based automation for seamless integration.
• Initial focus on measurement extraction, with potential expansion to material specifications.

Required Experience

✔️ Strong background in Computer Vision & OCR.
✔️ Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and Machine Learning.
✔️ Experience with data extraction & processing.
✔️ (Preferred) Familiarity with construction technology and CAD models.
