AI Automation Engineer — Make.com + GoHighLevel (Remote, Full-Time)

Role Description

This is a full-time remote AI Automation Engineer position. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining automation workflows that power real businesses every day. Your primary tools are Make.com and GoHighLevel. You are the person who connects every system, builds every workflow, configures every AI agent, and makes sure it all runs without human intervention. This is not a support role. You are building the product our clients pay for every month.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Building multi-step automation scenarios in Make.com using webhooks, API calls, and conditional logic. Configuring GoHighLevel sub-accounts, pipelines, workflows, automations, calendars, and phone systems for each client. Deploying AI voice agents using Bland AI and Insighto that answer real business phone calls 24/7. Building AI chatbots trained on client data using CustomGPT and Stammer. Integrating client systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON data mapping. Building and maintaining client-facing dashboards that display real-time business performance. Writing and optimizing AI prompts that control how voice agents and chatbots behave and qualify leads. Testing and troubleshooting every deployment across multiple client environments before go-live. Cloning and customizing proven workflow templates for each new client to keep deployment times fast.

Qualifications

Experience building multi-step Make.com or n8n scenarios with webhooks, HTTP modules, and conditional logic. Experience configuring GoHighLevel including sub-accounts, pipelines, workflows, and automations. Comfortable working with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and webhook integrations. Experience connecting third-party platforms via API including CRM, calendar, SMS, email, and AI tools. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for workflow errors and API failures. Ability to learn new AI tools quickly and work independently. Attention to detail because every deployment must work before the client sees it. Reliable communication and consistent delivery without being chased.

Preferred but not required

Experience configuring AI voice agents using Bland AI or Insighto. Experience building AI chatbots using CustomGPT or Stammer. Prompt engineering experience for AI agent behavior. Dashboard building experience in Retool or React. Database experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL. Familiarity with OpenAI APIs.

Compensation
