Jane Cervantes, RecruiterAbout the Project
A private, founder-led venture (working name Project XAI, company name confidential pending legal setup) building an agentic AI platform for the GCC market. Think of it as an "e-commerce for agents": individuals and businesses set up bounded, rule-based AI agents that act on their behalf — answering, negotiating, scheduling, transacting — within permissions the user defines.
What You'll Build
- An agentic AI platform (MVP first) enabling users to configure, publish, and manage rule-bound AI agents
A model-agnostic orchestration/governance layer across multiple LLM providers (frontier + cost-efficient/Chinese models)
- Delegation logic: agents act within defined rules and escalate to the human principal for approval on key actions (e.g., transactions)
- Auditability: logging of what each agent said, promised, and did
- Token-based payment/transaction infrastructure (basic version for MVP)
- Data architecture respecting data sovereignty requirements for GCC-region users
What We're Looking For
- Strong full-stack engineer with hands-on experience building LLM-powered agent systems (not just LLM API wrappers — genuine agent orchestration, tool use, memory, rule/permission systems)
- Experience integrating multiple LLM providers/models into a unified platform
- Comfortable owning architecture decisions — the founder has no fixed tech stack or database preference and is deferring to the engineer's judgment
- Understanding of (or fast ability to design for) auditability, data governance, and regional data residency/sovereignty requirements
- Strong, visible portfolio (GitHub or equivalent) — client will be assessing shortlisted candidates primarily on demonstrated work, not resumes
- Comfortable working directly with a non-technical/business founder and translating loose product vision into a scoped MVP
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with GCC market or fintech/KYC-adjacent compliance norms (not required — founder explicitly deprioritized this).
Engagement Details
- Type: Freelance, hourly
- Contract length: 2 months initially
- Start: ASAP — no fixed deadline, but urgency is real; client wants to reach revenue-generating MVP quickly
- Location/time zone: Open worldwide, no overlap requirement
- Team context: Client has an existing in-house team and a rough prototype already built; new hire may work alongside or eventually replace parts of that team — team structure is still being decided
