About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer with experience in Ad Tech and performance analytics to join our team. This role will focus on auditing and optimizing our Supply-Side Platform (SSP) performance data, with a specific emphasis on validating and improving Click-Through Rate (CTR) reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze SSP transaction data (impressions, clicks, bids, wins, revenue) to validate CTR accuracy.
- Audit existing CTR reporting pipelines to ensure correct data collection, processing, and calculation.
- Identify discrepancies in impression/click data due to logging, latency, or data loss.
- Collaborate with product and ad operations teams to recommend ways to improve CTR performance.
- Build or enhance dashboards to monitor SSP performance and CTR over time.
- Investigate technical causes of low CTR and suggest improvements (e.g., faster ad load times, better click tracking, etc.)
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or ad tech analytics.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, especially SSPs, DSPs, and real-time bidding.
- Proficiency in querying and manipulating large datasets using SQL, Python, or Spark.
- Experience working with ad logs, event streams, and real-time data (e.g., Kafka, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with CTR, CPM, eCPM, and other ad performance metrics.
- Ability to debug and diagnose data inconsistencies or tracking issues.
- Excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and ad ops.
Nice to Have
- Background in performance marketing, ad ops, or ad optimization.
- Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
- Familiarity with click fraud detection, viewability, and measurement platforms.
