To extend our mission of helping people make smart financial decisions, we also operate SmartAdvisor to assist our vast audience with the types of decisions that are best informed by financial planning professionals.

SmartAdvisor is a national marketplace connecting consumers to financial advisors.
Building on SmartAsset’s relationship with millions of investors, SmartAdvisor connects financial advisors directly with prospects who meet their ideal client profile. Our algorithm matches consumers with up to three fiduciary financial advisors based on geographic location, amount of investable assets, and whether the RIA/IAR and the user are both willing to work remotely.

About the engineering team

About the Team:

Our engineering team consists of about 40 members who are divided into 5 pods that service the different pillars of the business. We follow an Agile methodology with 2-week sprints and daily standups following a Scrum-Based SDCL methodology. Our team is 100% remote and distributed across the US. Our core business hours are 9 am-6 pm EST. Diversity and maintaining the group's well-nurtured collaborative and creative culture are critically important to us, as is our close partnership with our product & UI/UX peers and marketing and business development stakeholders.
