About REVA Medical

REVA Medical wants to revitalize your heart. The company, founded in 1998, makes thin-walled heart and coronary artery stents from "bioresorbable" polymer materials using a "slide and lock" stent design. Its lead product candidate is the ReZolve coronary stent designed to restore blood flow and then resorb into the vessel. The company's products could also have applications in the orthopedic, neurological, and peripheral stent markets. Leading cardiac device maker Boston Scientific has partnered with REVA Medical and is helping the company develop its stents. The collaboration agreement also gives Boston Scientific the option to exclusively distribute REVA Medical's products if commercialized.
