What Border States is building

Border States is the seventh largest electrical distributor in the United States, providing innovative supply chain products and services to the construction, industrial and utility markets. We're a 100 percent employee-owned company made up of approximately 2,500 employees spread throughout our Branch Support Center in Fargo, ND, as well as more than 100 branch locations across the country.

We also believe in doing the right thing for our customers, vendor partners, fellow employee-owners and the communities where we work and live. Our choices in supplying product to our customers in the construction, industrial and utility markets connects us to the greater good.

Volunteer policy

Employee-owners are provided 16 hours of volunteer paid leave annually to give back doing something they’re passionate about. Whether it is raking leaves, ringing bells, building homes, coaching or mentoring, we love to lend a hand and help others make the communities where we live and work even better.
