## About Walk On Cloud
Walk On Cloud is an early-stage experience platform designed to help parents discover and plan unique local activities. Think of it as Airbnb for experiences—users can browse, create, and share itineraries within a community-driven ecosystem. The product is ~60% complete, and we are seeking a seasoned engineer to audit, refine, and execute Phase 1 (P0) requirements to bring the platform to launch readiness.

## Responsibilities
* **Audit & Assess:** Review existing codebase (Django backend, React frontend, hosted on Railway) to identify broken components, salvageable work, and gaps.

* **Backend Execution:**  Lead backend development, ensuring quality, scalability, and reliability.
* **Full Stack Contribution:** Support frontend (React) development as needed to ensure seamless integration.
* **Infrastructure:** Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and core product operations.
* **Collaboration:** Work closely with the founder to align on requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
* **Quality Assurance:** Ensure high execution quality, with a focus on delivering a stable MVP.

## Must-Have Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with strong emphasis on backend development.
* Expertise in Django and backend architecture.
* Familiarity with React for frontend integration.
* Experience with Railway or similar hosting platforms.
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure best practices.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, bootstrapped startup environment.

## Nice-to-Have Skills
* Strong frontend expertise in React.
* Prior experience building community-driven or marketplace platforms.
* Familiarity with itinerary planning or travel-tech products.

## Engagement Details
* Hours: Flexible, with founder-approved billing. Initial expectation ~20–40 hours/week.
* Duration: Minimum 2 months (100+ hours), with potential extension.
* Rate Range: $65–85/hour worldwide (higher for U.S.-based talent).
* Timezone: Must overlap with U.S. Eastern mornings (9–12 p.m.).
