Reddy is an AI startup transforming call center performance through real-time coaching, simulations, and automated QA. We’re rapidly growing and building new product engineering pods to meet customer demand. Our stack includes Django/Python, cloud-hosted infrastructure, and LLM-backed services.
This role will anchor our first engineering pod and shape technical decisions across the company.
Reddy is an all-in-one platform designed for enterprise CX (Customer Experience) teams that trains, assists, and coaches agents. We do this during the three phases: before, during, and after calls — enabling exceptional performance at every stage. By automating key workflows and surfacing intelligence from real
data, Reddy simplifies CX across the board, powering faster ramp times, higher quality scores, and lower turnover. We combine advanced AI with realistic simulations, live-call assist, and automated QA to deliver tailored coaching for every agent, without added managerial overhead.

#### The Role

We’re hiring a lead engineer to take ownership of our product’s technical foundation and velocity. You’ll work directly with the founders, lead a small team of high-caliber developers, and push forward mission-critical projects at an extremely fast pace. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll code daily, architect scalable systems, and help establish engineering best practices. You’ll also set the tone across the team, mentoring and guiding others to uphold quality and speed without compromise.

You should be capable of devising new patterns and conventions within existing code bases and in greenfield development. Written code should remain accurate, reliable, and maintainable even when faced with challenging or complicated problems.

#### What You’ll Do

• Lead and contribute directly to the full-stack development of Reddy’s growing platform.
• Architect scalable infrastructure and ensure reliability in a non-managed cloud environment.
• Guide, mentor, and set technical standards for a team of 2–3 developers.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all our tools, using them regularly to diagnose issues quickly and calmly, even under pressure.
• Make rapid, high-quality engineering decisions daily to maintain product velocity.
• Design and implement AI-driven features and complex integrations with external systems.
• Build and maintain evaluation pipelines for AI workflows.
• Continuously refine UX through thoughtful frontend work and user feedback.

#### Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Prior experience leading engineering efforts or managing small teams.
• Deep expertise with:
– Django and Celery (Python backend)
– HTML, HTMX, TailwindCSS, vanilla JavaScript (frontend)
– Ansible and DevOps/infra (bare-metal/cloud deployment — no Vercel/Firebase/etc.)
• Proficiency with a variety of AI/LLM tools and frameworks (e.g., DSPy, Braintrust, LangChain).
• Strong product and UX sensibilities — capable of making sound design decisions independently.
• Based in the USA (remote is fine).

#### Bonus Skills

• Experience designing AI evaluation pipelines and building complex AI workflows.
• Strong understanding of cloud operations, scaling, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
• Fast, iterative development mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Familiarity with traditional machine learning concepts.
• Experience with large-scale data integrations and third-party APIs.
