### Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced **Backend Architect and DevOps Specialist** to design and implement a high-performance backend system tailored for users in Nigeria and West Africa. Your role will focus on optimizing infrastructure for scalability, security, and reduced latency, ensuring seamless user experiences.

#### Responsibilities

*   Architect and manage hosting solutions using platforms such as **AWS**, **Firebase**, or **Google Cloud**.
*   Optimize infrastructure for enhanced scalability, security, and low latency to support users in the targeted regions.
*   Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like **GitHub Actions** or **Bitrise** to streamline development and deployment processes.
*   Implement effective logging and monitoring tools, including **Sentry** and **Datadog**, to ensure system reliability and performance.

#### Required Skills

*   Minimum of 3 years of experience in **cloud infrastructure** and **DevOps**.
*   Familiarity with **edge caching** and **content delivery networks (CDNs)** to enhance content delivery efficiency.
*   Strong security skills, including proficiency in **SSL**, **firewall configuration**, and **secure backups**.

#### Nice to Have

*   Experience in tuning hosting and CDN solutions specifically for the West African region, enhancing performance and reliability in local contexts.
