OVERVIEW:
The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Marketing and Events Coordinator (Coordinator III) position within the Opus College of Business, Shenehon Center of Real Estate.

This is a part time position that works 12 months out of the year, 10-15 hours per week. This position is grant-funded for two years.**
While this role will need to be present and on-campus (Minneapolis) for events, much of the day-to-day work can be done remotely.

JOB SUMMARY**
Opus College of Business Shenehon Center of Real Estate is seeking a Marketing and Events Coordinator to organize industry and student engagement events and lead marketing efforts for the Real Estate Program. This position will coordinate various aspects of critical Real Estate Program events throughout the year such as the MN Real Estate Hall of Fame, Real Estate Diversity Expo, and alumni engagements. The Marketing and Events Coordinator will also formulate and help implement a marketing strategy to increase exposure to careers in real estate and interest to prospective students to pursue a Real Estate degree. This role will have a particular focus on increasing diversity within the Real Estate Program and supporting diversity within the real estate industry. This position will work closely with and under the supervision of the Director of the Real Estate Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
1. Event Planning: Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of events, including but not limited to the MN Real Estate Hall of Fame, industry summits, continuing education events, and student expositions. (25%) Assist with creating and maintaining a calendar of programs and events. (5%)

2. Event Logistics:** Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, vendor management, catering, audio-visual requirements, and other event-related services. (5%) Identify keynote speakers and event programming and coordinate event agendas. (5%) Coordinate PR/event promotion strategies, manage registrations, and attendee communications. (5%) Prepare press releases and event scripts and coordinate additional programming needs for events. (5%) Coordinate applications and submittals with the MN Department of Commerce for Continuing Education credits. (5%)

3. Budget Management:** Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines. (5%)

4. Marketing:** Develop and implement marketing strategies/campaigns to increase program exposure to current and prospective students and across the real estate industry, with a particular focus on social media. (15%) Support event sponsorship efforts including communication and coordination with sponsors and guests, and promotion of sponsorships. (5%) Create engaging content for promotional and fundraising materials, such as flyers, brochures, and digital assets. (10%) Support the maintenance and updating of the Center's website and social media platforms. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field
Event management or planning within Higher Education
Proven experience in event coordination and marketing roles, preferably within a university and/or real estate setting
Proficiency in event management software/tools and familiarity with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics)
