As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with our customers to implement and scale AI-powered solutions that solve complex business challenges. You’ll partner closely with customer technical teams to deploy production-ready applications, integrate AI capabilities into existing workflows, and ensure successful adoption of our platform across enterprise environments.
This role combines strong software engineering fundamentals with customer-facing collaboration. You’ll serve as a trusted technical partner, helping customers translate emerging AI capabilities into practical business outcomes while providing feedback that helps shape our products and deployment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customer teams to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications in production environments.
- Develop technical solutions including AI agents, workflow automations, integrations, evaluation pipelines, and deployment tooling.
- Support customers throughout the implementation lifecycle, from discovery and architecture to deployment and optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to improve deployment processes and customer outcomes.
- Identify repeatable implementation patterns and contribute best practices back into internal product and engineering workflows.
- Build long-term trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and proactively identify opportunities to expand AI adoption.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Software Engineer working closely with customers.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying production applications leveraging large language models, AI agents, RAG systems, or workflow orchestration frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with additional languages such as TypeScript, Java, or Go.
- Experience shipping production-grade software and integrating systems across APIs, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise environments.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex technical challenges independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High ownership mindset with a strong focus on customer outcomes and execution.
- Prior experience in consulting, professional services, implementation engineering, or customer solutions roles is preferred.
