We are looking for an Accessibility Business Analyst who specializes in 508 compliance and mobile responsiveness. In this role, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on ensuring our products are highly usable and includes for all users, across a variety of mobile devices and screen sizes. You will work closely with stakeholders, including developers, designers, product managers, and clients, to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into actionable insights and specifications that align with accessibility standards and mobile responsiveness guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements for digital products and features.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing and proposed digital solutions to identify accessibility barriers and opportunities for mobile responsiveness enhancements.
- Work closely with design and development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories that address 508 compliance and mobile responsiveness requirements.
- Define acceptance criteria and success metrics for accessibility features and mobile responsiveness enhancements.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from users to validate the effectiveness of accessibility features and mobile responsiveness improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on implementing accessibility best practices and mobile responsiveness techniques.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in accessibility and mobile responsiveness, and incorporate them into our business analysis processes.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to develop test plans and ensure that accessibility features and mobile responsiveness enhancements are thoroughly tested.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, identify risks and issues, and facilitate decision-making related to accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects, with a focus on accessibility and user experience.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines such as WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with mobile responsiveness principles and techniques for web and mobile applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable recommendations.
- Experience conducting usability testing and gathering user feedback.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data visualization.
Work Environment
- This is a remote position.
- Candidate must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm EST.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
