About the Role
I’m seeking an experienced freelance graphic designer for ongoing part-time work. My projects range from traditional branding and marketing design to educational materials, social media content, brochures, long-format reports, tradeshow displays, signage, and the occasional Wix website design. You must be comfortable producing clean, professional print and digital design work that often needs to communicate information clearly to different audiences — from K–12 education stakeholders to corporate and small business clients.
Key Responsibilities
You may be asked to design:
- Visual identities and branding assets
- Social media graphics
- Brochures, newsletters, flyers
- Multi-page reports, documents, and decks (often 20+ pages)
- Use of infographics and charts (strong information design needed)
- Tradeshow displays, banners, signage
- Occasional Wix website design/update (Updating Wix template with on-brand images. logos, colours, etc.)
Who You Are
- Proven experience: 5+ years in graphic design, with work examples that show clean layout skills and strong information design.
- Design thinker: Strong ability to take complex data and information from various sources and compile into a digestible and inviting report, deck, or infographic.
- Resourceful: Comfortable sourcing icons and images and editing as needed to reflect the brand or project (access to paid resources such as Freepik would be provided with the contract).
- Portfolio: Must include a multi-page document, report, or deck (not just logos or posters).
- Skilled with: Adobe InDesign and Illustrator are a must. Functional photo editing (Photoshop).
- Bonus: Experience with Wix or Canva is an asset.
- Detail-oriented: Strong eye for typography, alignment, and layout hierarchy.
- Professional: Organized, reliable, and proactive about deadlines and communication.
- Good communicator: Fluent in English, able to clarify briefs and handle revisions gracefully.
- Flexible: Comfortable designing for both education and corporate contexts.
Hours & Pay
- Part-time: Average 5–15 hours per week, fluctuating with project needs.
- Long-term: Looking to build an ongoing working relationship.
- Pay: Competitive for your region — please include your hourly or project rate.
- Note: Ideal candidates must have some availability to connect during EST hours (ie; 8-10 am and/or 6-9 pm EST)
