About the Opportunity:
The organization is dedicated to helping businesses earn and prove trust through continuous security monitoring and verification. This Senior Applied AI Engineer role is responsible for shaping AI offerings, setting technical strategy, and leading projects that leverage AI to deliver smarter, faster outcomes. The position is part of a core AI team, collaborating with engineers, product managers, designers, and security experts to implement and scale AI-enabled product experiences. The goal is to enable customers to use AI to accelerate compliance, manage risk, and demonstrate trust.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement AI-powered features and integrate LLMs with existing products and systems
• Work cross-functionally with product engineers to identify opportunities for AI-driven product adoption
• Instrument evaluations, guardrails, and monitoring to assess and improve product quality
• Review customer usage data to inform ongoing enhancements
• Collaborate with AI Platform engineers to shape foundational AI systems and tooling
• Make pragmatic technical tradeoffs considering business priorities and user experience
• Mentor engineers and promote a collaborative, high-ownership engineering culture
Requirements:
• At least 7 years of industry experience as a software engineer
• Experience shipping LLM-backed products and working with prompting, RAG, and/or agent frameworks
• Experience designing, building, and scaling full-stack applications, including backend systems, APIs, and frontend interfaces
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, or willingness to learn
• Experience improving AI systems, creating eval sets, and driving quality improvements
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with product and design teams
• Experience working at rapidly scaling startups and/or large companies with a bias for action
• Action-driven and willing to engage directly with users
