About the Opportunity:
The organization is building a 100 percent fiber network to support next-generation broadband services as part of a global digital infrastructure initiative. This team is hiring a Sr. Program Manager to oversee and deliver fiber network projects from conception to full deployment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage fiber network projects from market definition through activation and deployment, including design, engineering, and construction using multiple vendors.
• Assist teams in defining and reviewing project requirements, scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Support project teams through planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling of each market’s build schedule.
• Apply and track change control processes throughout the market build lifecycle.
• Communicate project expectations, status, issues, and risks to team members and stakeholders, including visual progress tracking.
• Create and track metrics to determine program health and success.
• Communicate build statuses and risk mitigation plans to leadership at all levels.
• Facilitate daily meetings with all project parties to ensure objectives are met.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within projects and escalate unresolved issues promptly.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members in a collaborative environment.
• Oversee and enhance existing processes and policies for optimized project delivery.
Requirements:
• 7–10 years leading network projects in the telecommunications industry.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience in fiber construction.
• Proven track record with fiber network builds and telecom infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of fiber construction processes, including permitting, fiber cutover (CX), and QA standards.
• Familiarity with PMO methodologies and large-scale telecom buildouts.
• Proficient in Salesforce SiteTracker for project tracking.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Extensive experience managing vendors, subcontractors, and third-party partners in telecom projects.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify issues, and provide solutions.
• Collaborative team player able to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
