\-------------【About the company】-------------

The company has historically supported the operational efficiency of pharmacies by providing various solutions, primarily centered on its cloud-based medical history system. These solutions include a management tool that visualizes pharmacist-specific performance and patient revisit rates in real-time, and an application for patients that enables follow-up based on individual prescriptions.

In August 2022, the number of pharmacy users of the cloud medical history system surpassed 7,000 nationwide, and the service has grown to be utilized by over 15% of the pharmacy industry's top market share within six years of its release. With a funding round of ¥7.6 billion in January 2023, and an additional ¥1.8 billion in March, the company is poised for further significant business growth.

For new ventures, the company is also addressing contributions to stable supply by developing an inventory management system that supports inventory optimization through AI demand forecasting and a pharmaceutical secondary distribution service that supports inter-store transfers and pharmaceutical waste reduction.

Furthermore, by utilizing the patient data accumulated through its services and direct patient touchpoints, the company aims to encourage behavioral changes among patients and healthcare professionals. Through these efforts, they intend to make the entire Japanese healthcare experience—including the pharmaceutical industry and the medical system, not just pharmacies—more adaptable and resilient.

\-------------【 Job Description】-------------

\[Recruiting Challengers to Support Patient-Centric Healthcare Experiences with Data\]

The company has primarily focused on supporting and improving the operational efficiency of pharmacies by providing products for dispensing pharmacies. However, to improve future healthcare, the company believes it is essential to collaborate with pharmacies, position them as the starting point for a "patient-centric healthcare experience," and support mechanisms that encourage patients themselves to positively engage with their care ("Patient Engagement").

To realize this vision, they are developing services that utilize operational data from pharmacies and personal data accumulated through their products to visualize, analyze, and encourage changes in patient behavior and awareness. The Data Scientist will be central to this effort. They are seeking colleagues who can deeply understand the needs and touchpoints of patients, pharmacies, and healthcare professionals through data, and deliver valuable insights to the products and services.

Responsibilities

In this new business venture (Patient-Centric Healthcare Experience), the individual will engage in the following duties:

・Contributing to product/service development that promotes behavioral changes in patients and healthcare professionals through the analysis of the pharmaceutical market and prescription patterns.

・Supporting decision-making for product improvement, including NSM/KPI design and data visualization.

・Assisting with the design and construction of data marts and DWH (Data Warehouse) for the data analysis foundation.

\[Team Structure\]

Full-time employees: 4 members (1 EM, 3 DS/DA)

This recruitment is for a position within the development organization.

You will collaborate with a team of analysts specialized in medical data (3 members) to drive service development from both the business and product perspectives.

\[Internal Generative AI Utilization Status\]

The company is actively utilizing Generative AI not only for product applications but also for productivity improvement. A cross-departmental AI utilization community exists, where engineers, PdMs, and designers irregularly share knowledge and hold study sessions, collectively seeking effective utilization across the company. The state of these study sessions can be confirmed here (implied external link).

Furthermore, because the company handles sensitive medical information, they have internally formulated guidelines to address security risks and other issues, demonstrating their commitment to achieving both productivity and safety/security.

\[Position Highlights\]

・A Challenge Directly Connected to the Future of Healthcare: The role is not merely analytical work; the individual can be deeply involved in the creation of a "patient-centric healthcare experience."

・An Environment with Autonomy and Responsibility: The individual can be consistently involved in the process from hypothesis formation to analysis and decision-making support, granting significant influence over the product.

・The Tangible Sensation of Turning Data into "Value": By leveraging accumulated real-world medical data, the individual can contribute to product improvements that have a direct impact on society.

・Experience in a Growing Startup: The individual can gain experience in making rapid decisions and implementing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
