A LITTLE ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client is a leading remote-first sports technology company with an enviable, collaborative, remote 1st culture. Their platform supports millions of users and tens of thousands of amateur sports organizations. Their engineering organization builds highly scalable, service-oriented, and event-driven systems using modern cloud technologies, APIs, databases, queues, caching, and observability tooling. I'm working directly with the CTO and 5 members of her team to hire 3 Devs: a Mid, a Senior, and a Staff ... This is a new client of mine, but maybe already my favorite company to work with :)

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

* Strong, recent, production Backend coding execution with a Node / TypeScript focus
* A highly product-focused engineering mentality
* Proven depth in working and scaling with high-volume, high-scale products _(ideally products with millions of users, using event-driven workflows, and asynchronous systems under heavy load)_
* Strong SQL relational database mastery
* Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers and clarify requirements during live coding, even when given ambiguous initiatives, without relying on AI tools as a crutch.
* Connection to sports or passion mission-driven companies strongly preferred\*\*

 

LOCATION

\*This role is FULLY REMOTE, but hired candidates must reside in the USA: My client CANNOT hire residents of Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia or Utah.

 

COMPENSATION:

The minimum salary for this role is $150K, with a budget of up to $185K base salary. If hired, you would also be eligible for a 5% bonus.
