We are seeking a Brand Manager, Consumer (15 - Month Contract) to lead the digital marketing strategy and execution for our Moosehead Core brands.

 

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for developing and executing integrated brand and digital strategies that strengthen brand equity, drive consumer engagement, and deliver commercial growth.

 

The Brand Manager will champion the evolution of Moosehead's digital marketing strategy by leading social media, creator, and partnership initiatives that build brand awareness and consumer affinity across all digital platforms. They will also oversee agency partners and collaborate with an internal team responsible for social media, influencer marketing, content creation, and partnership activation to ensure all initiatives are integrated and aligned with broader business objectives.

 

This position can be performed in Saint John, New Brunswick or remotely within Canada. Occasional travel might be required.

 

Responsibilities

* Lead the development and execution of brand and digital marketing strategies for owned and earned channels, strengthening brand equity, driving consumer engagement, and delivering commercial results.
* Own Moosehead's social media strategy, defining and implementing content pillars, channel and amplification strategies, creative direction, and performance frameworks across all digital platforms. Develop and lead creator, influencer, and partnership strategies that build authentic consumer connections, expand brand reach, and deliver measurable business impact. Lead the PR strategy in partnership with agency teams, proactively identifying earned media opportunities, and cultural moments that build brand awareness and relevance. Oversee the development and production of creative assets, including photography, video, animation, social content, ensuring a consistent brand voice and high creative standard.
* Manage PR, social media, Media and Creative agency partners while collaborating closely with Moosehead's Creative Team to deliver integrated marketing plans.
* Lead, coach, and develop the Public Relations, Influencer Marketing, and Social Media team including Content Creation, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
* Translate consumer insights and cultural trends into actionable brand strategies, campaign plans, and creative direction. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to ensure brand strategies and activations are integrated across consumer and customer touchpoints and aligned to broader commercial objectives.
* Monitor campaign performance and brand health, leveraging analytics to optimize marketing investments and identify growth opportunities.
* Oversee public relations and digital marketing budgets to maximize return on investment.
* Partner with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to successfully bring initiatives from concept to market.
* Foster an entrepreneurial mindset by identifying new opportunities, challenging conventional thinking, and bringing innovative marketing ideas to life.

 

Qualifications

* University degree in Business or Marketing (preferred) with 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, digital marketing, or social media strategy, preferably within CPG, beverage alcohol, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
* Demonstrated experience developing, executing, and analyzing integrated social media strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels that drive brand awareness, engagement, and business objectives.
* Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging channels, including platform best practices, algorithms, analytics, and content trends.
* Demonstrated ability to identify emerging cultural and social trends and translate them into timely, relevant marketing opportunities.
* Experience leading influencer and creator marketing programs, including identifying partners, measuring performance, and ensuring brand alignment.
* Experience developing and executing proactive PR strategies, with a strong understanding of earned media, brand storytelling, and media relations.
* Proven ability to manage creative resources (internal content creators or agencies), providing strategic direction and constructive creative feedback.
* Previous management experience with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
* Strong communication and relationship management skills, with experience collaborating with agencies, creators, partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented with exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
